"This is a great achievement for this program," said Misty Stone, director of the 574th AMXS. "As Hill Air Force Base acquired the F-22 workload in 2006, the 574th AMXS team of 400 employees remains focused and dedicated to expanding the combat capabilities of the F-22 weapon system."
Dead Stealth: Why Did The Air Force Kill The F 22 Raptor Program Early?
The program is responsible for improving mission capability by making structural modifications to increase the total flight hours on each aircraft to 8,000 hours.
The maintenance team ran 247 F-22 Raptors through six unique maintenance machines for structural repair, modification, coating restoration and aircraft damage repair while completing more than 8,645 Time Technical Compliance Orders totaling more than 3,880,000 hours; approximately 1,550,000 hours are dedicated to seam restoration, and the remaining 2,328,000 hours are focused on corrosion mitigation, aircraft modification, modernization and repair.

With the completion of the program, the 574th AMXS will transition from a structurally based requirements workload to a 10-year return workload, which is a new maintenance modification first prototyped in 2019.

This new modification will update the low observation layer on the engine inlets, and provide inspection and overhaul of the plane's flight control.
Over the past several years, the aircraft maintenance squadron has also supported the warfighter by replacing five failed aircraft through an unscheduled depot-level maintenance program totaling 50,900 hours.

"We have increased the new workload by producing nine aircraft totaling nearly 200,000 hours to date. Because of this workload, we are now positioning ourselves to achieve avionics upgrades that will enhance the F-22's already outstanding capabilities," said Paul Wolever, 574th Production/Flight Test section chief. "The 574th AMXS's successful ability to produce modifications, improvements, and upgrades to the Raptor is a direct result of our exceptionally skilled team of mechanics, dedicated supervisors, and expert knowledge of our planning and scheduling department. "
